Take the cover off it, and make sure its set to TDC (there are marks to line up inside there) And set it in the hole on the side of the head with the cams, and crank set at TDC. Its just like installing a distributor. There is a step by step in most MK3 repair manuals like chiltons and haynes that you should be able to pick up at any auto parts store, or atleast have one ordered.
