I believe they have 3 height settings (not the JZA70 ones, the aftermarket ones)

That's correct they have 3 height adjustments for the springs, and yes your tems will be no longer functional.

You must have a tems compatible shock for the tems actuators to work. To my knowledge there are only 2 ways to go for tems, Toyota replacements or Tokico's.

do you think it is worth getting rid of the Factory TEMS for aftermarket shocks, or are the factory good enough?
TEMS is useless... there are far better shocks available, and with coilover's going to super low prices, it makes no sense to keep the stock 20 year old technology.
On that note, i personally run Bilstiens.

i have the height adjustable bilsteins on now. i had them on the shell when i bought it. it had bilsteins and H&R Springs. with H&R and the bilsteins on the lowest setting it was tucking 16X7 wheels and drug the ground EVERYWHERE. H&R with Bilsteins on the HIGHEST setting would be ok but imo H&R springs SUCK BAD. Get Bilsteins and Eibach

Bilsteins and eibachs FTW

H&R's are WAY too low IMO. and give you the ride feel like a slammed civic on cut springs where it hops around and bounces a little after every bump. eibachs and bilsteins are my vote.

but if you have a chance to get some H&R's for cheap then i guess do what you want to do. good luck

Tems are not useless, It all depends on your driving style.

I know several people that have them and wouldn't do without them, they just need to be in good working order.

Which coilovers are going for "super low prices"?

All the coilovers I'm aware of (and God knows I certainly don't know about all of them), are pretty damn pricey.

Word. I never liked TEMS until I rode in a friend of mine's car that he just got a couple months ago. His were restored by a dealer for the previous owner because they were shot so bad. But now they're perfect and the ride is AMAZING!

What about the Ksport shocks that are in the groupbuy section right now? Anyone ever tried em?

TEM's is not that great... just look at the damn body roll in mkiii shoot out comparisons then tell me they are great.

H&R's are way to damn low, I think you'll regret getting those! Eibach's as mentioned FTW :).

Coilovers however are the best... you can find some for $900... which really is worth the price.

body roll is from the weak as factory swaybars

I'll more than likely go bilstein with factory shocks or a eibachs...

though full coilovers sure look tempting...
