I can certainly how someone would be a good seller...shipping items fast and packaged well, item recieved as described, good quality and price, etc....

But, how can someone be a good buyer? Just doesn't make much sense to me.

rant, rant, rant...

(just noticed this is my 666th post !)

making fast payment, clear instructions on where to ship, stuff like that i guess. alos good comunication, not someone who presses buy it now and goes on vacation for a week and comes home to a mailbox full of questions about payment.

Well w/ ebay: It's someone who pays you quickly, asks their questions before they win the auction, and don't back out after they win.

definately... fast payment is good stuff... nose hit the nail rite on the head wit the buy it now and leave the pc thing. also the guy who reads the auction knowing what theyre getting not the one who bitches after the auction ends or after they send payment to the person on sm.

The guy who doesnt buy an item to send back the broke one he has at home also makes for a good buyer. Theres always the shitty people, ratings give just a little help at keeping the honest ones honest and a little clue at whos not so honest.

Theres alotta useless shit on the internet, but its all there for one reason or another. Use whatever ya can.

post again chris, get that shit off there

On most forums, a good buyer is one who says he is gonna pay, and actually does. Supramania has been better than that, but I have been out of the parts pages a while now

Not offering crap dollar amounts, not complaining about the cost of shipping, paying quickly, there's also the other end of the shipping, if something is damaged, are they willing to deal fairly with it, are they unreasonable, blah blah.

There are bad buyers, trust me ;)

Not lowballing is a good start. I usually never even bother asking a lower price if it's fair. If I see something I want, I'll buy it for fair asking price. If I don't like the price, I just won't post and move on. By fair I mean looking at what the part costs new and then factoring in it being used and the condition. Most of the time when I'm buying out of the FS section, it's never something I need. I just happen to run across things I like and have extra money to burn at the time.

I don't get why people ask for a lower price that's really an insignificant amount... I see parts posted all the time for let's say 150 shipped and someone asks 'will you take 140 shipped?' wtf? I don't get it. If you can afford to buy parts for your supra for 150, what's 10 dollar difference?

I also hate when someone posts in someone elses thread saying "well so and so is selling the same part for 50 dollars less." OK, well go buy from them then and gtfo my thread! someone will buy mine eventually anyway.

Same thing applies to selling parts. I've never came down in price for any parts(except for my 7M setup) and sold them all for what I asked. If I want 250 for a boost controller, I'll wait to get 250 for it. Unless it's a good friend I owe a favor too or something of that nature. but that's just me...

Good buying is basically paying immediately. If you don't have the money ready, don't offer to buy. As soon as you get confirmation from the seller, send paypal immediately! or money order or check or whatever next day, unless you make an agreement with the seller for something else...

Communication is the key to a successful and stress free transaction.

ok, if someone says best offer, or how much u wana give me, or anything else that isnt a set price, domt complain about lowballing, i hate when ppl complain about lowballing. if i wana buy ur injectors and u say what u wna give me, im gona say 100 bucks. cause id love to buy a set of 550s for 100 bucks, if u dont wana take that then say i want 300. now if u say i was 300 and i say ill give u 100, then thats retarted but most ppl i see lowballing ppl. are ppl that dont say a price. lets just say u wana get rid of ur injectors and will take 150 but u just say whatu wana give. and i say idk 300, u just mde 150 over what u wanted. so ya kno what, if u dont say a price, and u get an offer u feel is rediculious, then its ur fault for not saying a price

Im a good buyer.I ask all questions up front. Sometime more pics if the ones displaying the item arent enough. I always make sure my method of payment is accepted.I always verify who the seller will be shipping through.Usually if its fedex i request ups.I let the seller know that i have sent payment and when to expect it. I send multiple emails verifying everything, at every step of the moment. My Ebay Feedback

I never pay the pay apl fee unless agreed upon BEFORE hand. If you don't say it I sure as hell won't pay it!! That is YOUR job.

Actually the PayPal TOS states that you CANNOT charge a surcharge for accepting payments via PayPal. A friend of mine actually had his acct locked for this very reason.

http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/ua/policy_payments-outside

Section VI: No Surcharges. Under Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express regulations and the laws of several states, including California, merchants may not charge a fee to the buyer for accepting credit card payments (often called a "surcharge"). You agree that you will not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as payment. This restriction does not prevent you from imposing a handling fee in connection with the sale of goods or services, as long as the handling fee does not operate as a surcharge (in other words, the handling fee for transactions paid through PayPal may not be higher than the handling fee for transactions paid through other payment methods).

Either add it to the base price of the item (and collect a free $0.30 + 2.9% if someone pays without PayPal) or add it to the Shipping/Handling - as long as all payment types have the same costs.
