haha, new SSQV is like 150-250 and id rather either fix this one, or buy a knockoff and take the back part of the housing and bolt on.

id do what al recommended, drilling and tapping for 1/8 pipe thread is the way to go. the threads also give you a bit more insurance so the fitting won't work its way out of the hole again.

yeah, but i cant find any pipe/bolt that size. So that makes it a lot harder.

Alright, so i gave it to my friend to take to work ( he works at some american V8 shop) and he drilled a bigger hole and fit a brake line into it. I just JB welded it on and i will see tomorrow how it works.. What you guys think of this fix?

I would have just tapped it, since it was drilled... but hey that's me. :)

Did you just simply drill it w/o taking it apart?

nah, took it apart and have a cut & bent brake line goin to it JB weld curing now though :D

jb weld has always worked fine for me. i used it to attach 2 peices of aluminum sheetmetal to a 7mgte block that threw a rod. ran it for 2 years before i found another bottom end to replace it. cheapest fix i ever did. put a freed rod and piston i got from a friend in it, replaced the 4 bent valves for ones from a junk head, reused the mhg, reused the rod bearing and rings, new oil pan and start which i already had. lol. just have to clean both surfaces really well first. i use acetone on a rag to remove all residues. worked great. that motor on a stock turbo at 8psi ran a 13.67 @ 96mph with uneven compression. not bad imho. only mods were the 3in exhaust from the turbo back and hks smf. everything else was stock.
