I already have the downpipe ( BIC DDP) mated to stock exhaust which was definitely a huge improvement over stock but I wanna be 3" all the way.

Here comes the obligatory "I don't wanna spend too much" so there.

I wanna go custom.

Don't care what kind of cat I want as long as its high flow and there's a chance I'll pass smog with it. I do not want a test pipe I know I said I dont wanna spend too much but I'd rather spend the extra 80 or so bucks to save a tree or two.

As for the muffler I want something with dual tips and makes a nice deep tone nothing raspy or Megan'y or RSR. I like the way the Tanabe sounds but not the way it looks. So far im debating between a Vibrant flat black or a magnaflow.

Any help is appreciated thanks.

935motorsports sells a kit, 3'' for like 150... its the cat-back portion, then you just buy whatever muffler you want to mate on it, and if you didnt want to do all the work, then you could get all the parts and bring them down to the muffler shop...

and im gonna send you a PM too.

I had an exhaust shop finish up mine on my 1jz after I bought the car.

When I got it, it had a 7mgte "custom" stock downpipe flanged to the 1jz y-pipe, through a test pipe, and out an HKS super dragger cat-back exhaust. It sounded really good, and not too loud, but I didn't want to find out how long it would take for Virginia cops to pull me over (it had like a 4-5" diameter outlet!!).

So, I had the shop make me a custom 3" downpipe, through a high-flow 3" cat, kept the piping between cat and rear muffler which included the middle HKS resonator/muffler, and then out of a 3" inlet, dual 2.5" (pretty sure) flowmaster muffler. I think it turned out great, its got a nice, deep tone and not raspy at all.

It all depends how much you want to spend or if you can make it yourself.

I made mine for about $200 with a hi-flow cat and 3'' muffler. It is 3'' from the y-pipe to the muffler. It's nothing special. But, it works great and sounds awesome. I painted it with the high temp aluminum paint after this pic was taken. It's all mendral bent.

Here is also a vid with the exhaust. You can get an idea of how it sounds. NOTE: I have a 1jz

^^^ really depends. Used is used but it can be just as good as a new one if you land on a good one. I got a used exhaust and found out it was near new in super condition where in inner piping was CLEAN OMG I got lucky while some other guy might land on a one same as mine but has thick carbon build up in the piping.

Sorry its a little dirty from storage.

well i have the 935 diy 3" exhaust on my supra sounds good but if you go this route you are going to want to get a resonator because the resonace is awfull with out the silencer. When the money presents if self i'm going to add a resonator and probly swap over to this muffler http://www.meganracing.com/products/product_detail.asp?prodid=668&catid=45 i think it should help alot lol plus you know its not going to make the fuzz so hard like my megan gt muffler
