This morning I hopped into my dew covered '90 and hit the rear window defog, rolled down both windows to clear them and saw a significant amount of steam rolling out of my side view mirrors. My immediate thought was smoke, but it was pretty clear it was steam. The mirrors cleared right up and were warm to the touch.

I've had my Supra for over a year and this was the first time I ever noticed this feature. I wonder what other gems I'll find...

yeah, my heated mirrors work...but my rear defrost doesn't...

it also has tint on it that tends to fog up easy too, so it's even worse, gonna have to replace the glass one day...

Okay, here's a stupid question. Did the heated mirrors come only in certain years and/or countries? I don't recall my '89 Turbo having them, but I might be wrong!

Adjustable height and telescoping steering wheel will come next. These cars are BADASS, they came with features 20 years ago that still don't come on cars today!

hell yeah! the mkiii, despite its flaws (BHGs... pre 89s (jk)) is one of the greatest cars ever made.

Meh, whippersnappers ;). I have a 1981 model year car with heated mirrors, auto off defogger, and tilt telescoping steering wheel. Wasn't all that unusual.

heh and what car might that be?

in all seriousness, the mkiii supra has got to be my favorite car of all time.

in my opinion, a lot of detail and care went into the entire design of the car.

look at the interior for example, a dated design i know, but compare the interior of a 92 mr2 to a 92 supra, and youll see what i mean.

the mr2s' interior is cheap and generic. the mkiiis interior is solid, functional, and is a great example (again, imo) of what an early 90s GT car should look like.

I like the long gauge part of the dash, not many cars have these.. like mitsu 3000... and what else??
Though they could have made the rear of the car a little bit wider :D

While I agree about the MK3 interior's being fantastic, and really nice, I think an MR2 is a bad choice to compare it to something that isn't as nice, haha. I love the MR2 interior, almost as much as the MK3.

a good friend of mine has one and i just dont like it. for example, the gauge dimmer knob is just tossed in some blank space to the left of the steering wheel. it looks like they just randomly picked a spot to stick it. they could have hidden it with one of those wheels under that part of the dash so it would be out of sight even.

the rest of the interior dosnt really fit together well, there seems to be a lot of slop in the fitment of the interior pieces.

i know a mkiii can have this slop too, but not if all the needed screws are in place.

i just think they could have taken a little more time with the mr2 to design the interior. it looks like it was just a generic design that all the other toyotas were coming with and they adapted that to all the cars.

the mkiiis interior is unique and very well made.

of course, this is all just in my opinion.
