Well, I'm very excited about my head gasket blowing because I was bored with nothing to do...note the sarcasm..Any good sugestions on the exhaust manifold/turbo removal, that looked like the biggest pain I could see.:aigo:

I spent a while on the exhaust mani and turbo, but overall it's not that bad. Big thing is to start with a can or two of PB Blaster. Hit every nut and bolt just as soon as there's room and give it plenty of time to soak in. Hit it again when you take the wrench to them, and take care not to round anything off. Patience pays off, but it's not the worst thing to do.

Surprisingly all mine came off pretty easily. The turbo and oil lines were a PITA but all the nuts and bolts werent bad at all. Just take your time and you'll get it. I had to take pics every so often so I could remember where everything went. LOL. But it worked.

Also remeber to mark where your CPS is, that was my only problem I didnt mark where it was at and I had to remove it 3 times before I could ever get it to run.

PB Blaster is some good stuff though!

A tool that will save you alot of time here, is a ratcheting open ended 14mm wrench... trust me :)

I got a pretty complete set of metric gear-wrenches from Costco for like $20, freaking great deal!! Before i got the set though, I bought an individual 14mm one, so I now have 2 of those :D

That is true, forgot about the ratchet wrenches. Best investment ever!
