^as long as it's done right.

Done right (OEM)=cast into the rotor
after market=drilled in later

Exactly, someone on ebay selling these things for dirt cheap isnt doing things 'right'. Ive herd people buying cheap generic blanks and drilling them at home with a press. Thats not the quality your looking for when it comes to stopping your car.

dont do it, it's a suicide to do hard stop with these crapy brakes... Go with PowerSlot atleast, they use brembo rotors thus a bit better situation.

no. Powerslot uses Powerslot rotors.

Yes, i've heard that too. If your going to spend money on nice parts, brakes are an area where you dont want to skimp. I dont trust "cross drilled brembo's" either, cause brembo doesnt make them. Slotted FTW!

I have never had issues with crossdrilled rotors cracking and most people wont for normal daily driving use. I am not saying to cheap out when buying brakes but for people not beating their cars every day or tracking every weekend these rotors should be fine with a good set of pads. I know others will have their own opin. also but every manufacture has had a part fail at some point or another.

If you dont have the cash Just get regular rotors, get the hub coated so it does not rust and it will look fine. I dont think you would like the way your supra looks after you slam into another car or tree because of some poor quality rotor?

Its cool to try and save money on things but when its there to keep you alive I have to agree with the pack. Some things are not cheap for a reason.

Good luck with whatever you get.

You could get these!! I got them for my 5SPEED build!! SEXY!! THANKS ARZ!<-- link!

ONE track day will crack crossdrilled. Crossdrilled is market hype garbage. It lowers unsprung weight, sure, but it's NOT worth them possibly failing.

I was @ Willow Springs the day Duane ran his car for the Sport Compact Car shoot-out article. There were plenty of drilled rotors there that day & those cars were driven as hard they possibly could have been driven. No cracks. I looked. Plenty of popping noises from the dissipating heat, though.

I've run the same Porterfield & SMC drilled rotors on 2 different cars over 36K miles & no cracks, yet. A few hards stops here & there, but mostly mellow. I inspect them all closely during susp cleaning which is once a month.

Despite the above, I don't endorse them, I only use them. If/when I have a problem, I'll die & it won't matter anymore.

Larry: Don't Die it sucks (trust me on this one) ;)
I can't die, I have to help resurrect the CygnusX1 Supra, and put in new rear wheel bearings on mine. The nylon rear subframe bushings I just installed confirmed my suspicions re: bad pass side rear wheel bearing. Not only that, my eyeball alignment back to dig pics reference settings didn't work due to swapping in new a-arms & nylon bushings in those, d-oh crooked steering wheel. So, I have no idea how well the just-installed Tein Flex & 1-piece alum DS work.

Brakes & dying are the least of my worries. Lots to do.

well, I'll clarify, the cheap ebay crossdrilled will crack after one track day (seen it in person)

Slots are still a far better option IMHO since most modern brake pads don't build up gasses that need to be vented by the crossdrilling...

i ordered drilled and slotted rotors for my 91 turbo and cost me 114.00. and my supra is a daily driver, and im a dilivery guy. always got to be in a hurry. i drove hard on the rotors and they were fine. no crack. nothing. and one night when it rained hard, i felt that the rotors were able to stop a lot faster.
now thats from my personal experience. im not gonna say that they dont crack cuz ive seen it happen. but those rotors did there job and did it well.
