garret turbo, but is it OK?

Hi guys,

yeah have a chance to buy this turbo but asked the guy what it came from and if it would fit and flow enough on my 3 liter 7mgte , but he dosnt know anything???

its a t3 flange and it says a/r 50 on the side - could I use this instead of the ct or is this a step down from the ct26?

Do someone know this?

newsflash: .bmp images cannot be displayed on teh intarneets.

newsflash 2: there are a myriad of things you need to know about a turbo, most importantly are WHAT compressor and turbine are in there, housing A/R isn't nearly as important. measure inducer/exducer of each wheel, compare to known specs....then determine if they match your goals.

Just looking at the front of it, it looks larger, but you need the actual specs on the turbo to know. Is there some type of model number or something stamped onto it??

hmmm Okay, maybe im better of looking for an Ct upgrade......

Im getting my Maft pro in a couple days - so im alrerady starting too think about all the upgrades I need

Marlon, you'll need an entire t4 setup - Manifold, lines, wastegate to run that turbo.

You'll most likely want to go with an upgraded ct26....

Yeah I realise and people are making decent numbers on them (upg. ct) already, so ill save the T4 setup until im ready for that leap
