There is a fuel bracket on my 87 that mounts to the driverside engine mount, it connects the fuel line from the tank, to the fuel line to the fuel rail. After my rebuild, i went to hook my fuel lines up, by putting the hollow bolts into that bracket but when i did i stripped out the bolt AND the bracket beyond repair. I have already tried tap and die set, not much help. Now i am in a tight spot and need to repair this very quickly. Would it be ok for a temporary fix to remove that bracket, cut off the ends of the fuel lines with a pipe cutter, and join the two pipes by a flexible hose/pipe using adjustable pipe clamps? and second does anyone have one they can sell me, toyota wants 7-10 business days, which i do not have.
