450 CRANK HP. And that would be the absolute maximum i'd ever run, its not the figure i'm aiming for.

:biglaugh: We'll see about that. You'll want more once you get used to it. Or when you buddy in his C5 barely edges you out, you'll want more power to beat him. It's all fun though.

I'm in the UK - so i know no-one with a 'C5'. And actually, i've driven cars with higher-hp than 450 before, to be honest, its not exactly special.

I want to make my Supra as reliable in terms of power output as i can and use it as a daily driver. Consider also that my average yearly mileage is around the 5500 to 6500 mile mark. And that fuel is $10 a gallon.

I don't understand why there are even sports cars in Europe. $10 a gallon is ridiculous, that's about $10 a pull for me, and I'm still on 440s.

FWIW, a 57 trim isn't much (if any) less reliable than stock.

Still Kai, if you have an issue with the clutch, they do NOT back up their product at all.

After all the crap that they've pulled with supra owners (specifically MKIII owners), I will never give them my business.

I'd get something through CKanderson or try Aaron at Driftmotion for some good alternatives.

There was a guy on SF running 20PSI on a stock HG with ARP studs and been find for over a year. It's all in the tune. I'd probably run just under fuel cut with the 57-trim if it was me doing it...

Quin - a Mazda MX5 is considered a sports car....and its generally percieved as if you can afford the car and the insurance, you can afford the fuel :p

Poodles - Well, i had considered SPEC but the range of clutches they have is a little on the limited side - i want to retain decent pedal feel and the ones they have are a bit extreme...

6 puck disk and stock pressure plate here. I have been using one since 2005 with different cars. With the MKIII it was the smoothest engagement of them all and I have not had one issue with mine and I only spent like 120bucks for everything pilot bearing, throw out bearing and a resurfaced flywheel. I never broke it in b/c the guy who built it told me there was no need to. I was beating on it since day ...... He build clutches for big truck :)

Its been close to a year and when I took the disk down it had barely any wear but I got it resurfaced anyway when I changed over to a R-154 since the W-58 finally died

None of the above I dont think but I will ask him ..... But all I know its just a disk made from a shop that makes big heavy duty disks and pressure plate for dump trucks the only difference is the size

All I know is that I am happy with it. However on my maxima its a bit harsh unless I really rev match the clutch or launch pretty hard.

Hmm...the clutch is something i'd like to last a long time - i seem to wear through clutches like no-body's business...i mean the Rover 216GTI i had may have only had 130hp from its D16A6 Honda engine but i burned through it in less than 2 months...

Ummm maybe you need to learn how to drive a manual better

I am a hard driver ....... but thats b/c i am trying to get off of the clutch ASAP maybe you are on the clutch to long. I dont even wanna talk about how many tires I have gone through

Like i said i have put alot of miles on that clutch on top of the way i drive and when i took it down it was in great shape.

I've only ever driven a manual (i cannot physically manage an automatic, i keep wanting to use a clutch that isnt there and it freaks me out not having control over when to shift) - and have done ever since i passed my test in '99....i have a heavy right foot ;)

Oh i'm never on the clutch longer than necessary - normal driving i'm like everyone else, smooth engagement and gently feeding in power as needed. However, when i'm annoyed, or in a hurry (it happens a lot) i shift probably a little too quickly!

Also i think the Rover's clutch probably wasnt helped by the fact i fit 4 people in it and attempted to climb a 1:3 gradient on the way back from Brighton...the smell of burning kinda gave that one away :D

I run a Spec Stage 3+ and it's fine for DDing, just get used to it. 100 normal take offs and you'll be fine.

Kai, what is minimum wage in the UK, just out of curiosity?
