So if you dont know I inherited my grandpas supra a couple months ago that he bought new in 88. I have a build thread going if you want the whole story. http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?101797-88-7MGTE-White-Pearl-Targa-Lots-of-Pics

Well sadly he passed away a couple weeks ago. And because of that I have been helping my grandma go through his stuff. Just the other day I found a box of keys he had. I found this tag and keychain on a set of copies of the valet and normal key. My grandma thought I was crazy I was so happy I had found it. I love vintage stuff and to find this was like finding the hospital band my baby wore after she was born....if i had a baby. lol. Anyways...enjoy the pics.

VERY cool!
Word to the wise, please blank out the numbers on the stamped tag. It's for your own good.

LMAO thanks man, I'll gladly come by anytime. Just checked out your thread, and that's just a beautiful example.

I edited my post for better wording so I wasn't instructing anyone how to steal it.... haha

Thats the key code tag. You take the code to the dealer and they cut you a key from the tag that can be used on that perticular vehicle. ;)

I seriously was like OH MY GOD!!!! when i found it. haha. Itll go with the rest of my collection of original items with the car, including the window sticker, list of options, factory tsrm, payment reciept(coolest thing ever...it says number of payments, 1. Amount of payment, 27,000. My grandpa was a baller.) oh and every receipt of everything EVER done to the car. I found one repair order from toyota dated like three months after he bought the car and it says he brought it in cause the paint was cracking on the front left fender. The paper says toyota replaced it under warranty saying it was a bad paint job. Kinda interesting.
