Flywheel Backstep

can't seem to find it anywhere (TSRM mentions nothing of getting the flywheel resurfaced), but how far back is the backstep for a 7MGTE flywheel?

I have a hunch the one in my car wasn't resurfaced properly leading to early failure. So I want to make sure my spare flywheel has the proper backstep.

knowing a toyota dealer they would just buy a new one anyway and skip the resurfacing thing

you mean how deep the step into the flywheel?

I used 1" into it and worked great.

I had the same issue with my old 1jz and my spec stage 3 clutch.. the flywheel was machined wrong and the pp didn't seat on the step right..
