Yeah, it's not something you'd do often but nice to know. I roll almost all of my own gaskets these days but in a pinch tacking some line around a clean surface with a few drops of super glue (go inside the bolt holes) and slapping it on usually works fine on everything from oil to coolant. Works perfectly on stuff like the TB and ISC valve. Easy to remove later on too.
There's lots of such tricks. What do you think we did back in the days before the MHG came along? I can tell you how to run high boost all day long on a stock HG using nothing more than a roll of stainless safety wire, a propane torch, super glue, and an electric engraving pen. Never tried it on a Supra but it worked great on other cars. Sometimes I feel youngsters must think performance mods didn't exist before they were born and everyone drove Flintstone cars.
