Exceeded stock rev limiter?

I’m curious to know how many of you have exceeded the stock rev limiter. I’m looking for 8k RPM out of this build.

If you don’t mind, please provide the following:

1. Valvetrain Components
2. Cam Specifics
3. Shims or No Shims
4. Max RPM Reached
5. Success or Disaster?

1- Ferrea +1 ss valves, Supertech dual valvesprings w/ guides,
2- BC 272's
3- Shims
4- 7600 race-only, 7400 street, mostly a weekend racing car. Not comfy going higher w/o shimless.
5- Is good, yes?

^Interesting! How long have you been revving that high with shims? Are your springs dual?

i beleive hes using the big block chevy comp springs and if so im impressed they are handling that kind of rpm and excited because those are what i have lol

7000rpm stock block, head, cams, retainers, etc.
Going to spin it much harder on my new engine with bc's and shimless buckets. Billet mains obviously
