I come from a land down under
7M is much smoother but doesn't accelerate as well as the 6M, after 7500 there's little difference in "feel" though, I ran the 7M within 2 weeks of running a 6M and opted for smooth and light.

My crank had much more extensive work than just knife edging, can't remember what I paid but at the time it would have built a healthy 7M..

Thanks nick. Appreciate it. Gonna go on a google image marathon to find the images to update thread with.

The mk3 are getting alot rarer in aus these days and the enthusiasts moving on and the knowledge dying with it.

These pictures are really important. Fortunately, I identified both my block and my crank to be the earlier versions before the pictures disappeared. I.J., Any chance you can update these? The thread is stickied and probably taken on a new meaning. The information in your pictures are still to the point :) Hope this finds you and yours well. And, thanks!
