i didnt know there was suppose to be engine oil... as i didnt get the spec sheet back. when i took the bolts out of the rod, there was moly lube on it, i figured it moly lube is better for head and main bolts... i would think it would be ok for the rod bolts. so i left it there. there torqued to like 20 ft. lbs right now... as i didnt want to over torque them

do you have the spec sheet that comes with the eagle rods?

ive got the instruction sheet for eagles right here.
says to only use ARP moly assembly lube.
torque spec for 3/8" ARP 2000 = 43 ft. lbs. and bolt stretch = .0055"-.0059"

im assuming our bolts are 3/8. but the instructions have specs for other sizes as well.

edit: damn quake beat me.

im sure it makes no difference what kind of lube you use. HOWEVER, the torque specs are different for each kind of lube. Pauter gives torque spec for oil and eagle gives torque spec for arp moly.
my eagles came with a little pouch of arp moly so it makes sense for eagle to give the spec for that lube.
