Great numbers!

Explain to me though how you get 28+psi from the stock ECU and electronics on a large turbo without hitting fuel cut??

Heh! 50 psi base fuel pressure on 550cc injectors, plus water/meth injection adds fuel; pulling over 20% fuel on the SAFC :naughty:

OMFG thats sick!!!

i have the exact same setup, minus the water meth, and a 64mm turbo.

thanks for once again instilling faith into the 550/lex combo.

whats that turbo got for a hotside? i see on the dyno graph you're gettin 25psi right around 4500rpm, where does boost kick in on the street?

Get a standalone, thats a lot of boost for very low numbers. I suspect the ecu is detecting knock and throwing it in limp mode.

It's a .84 T4. I'm using a quick spool valve and in 4th gear on the street it hits 15psi at 3600rpm.

i agree pulling -20 form the s-afc fubars the timing map.

I also had low numbers because of this when i did 453 @ 24 PSI on a sp63 back in the day..

Sounds like fun and sounds really good man.

You should look in to an emanage if you don't want a standalone at least you can clamp the AFM hz at 1550 so you don't hit FCO then add fuel by changing the injector pulse width... You can also adjust the timing to add or remove!

**edit**

wow that's pretty lazy vs the SP61 GT I tuned on a 7m.

he had 420 @ 16 PSI with an emanage. Later when he tuned to 20 PSI he was over 500! He also had 440 FT tq at 4100 RPM on 16 psi!

I have the winpep files if you are interested in seeing them.

Sure I'd like to see the difference the tuning made vs the stock timing map. I'm also wondering if the dynos I used for testing are loaded properly for my car. I see 15psi at 3600rpm on the street, but the 2 dynos I have done seem to show much later spool.

No doubt. Numbers seem reeeeeeeally low for 28psi. Are you sure your boost gauge isn't fubar? Turbo does seem awfully lazy on the dyno, as well.

All that aside, those are some fun numbers and there's definitely a lot of power left on the table for when you go standalone.

The car is only tuned for pump gas + water/meth at 22psi (SAFC, 8 degrees base timing), and I simply ran a mix of pump and C16 for the dyno at higher boost just for fun. So the power left on the table may be from not enough timing for 28psi and 100% C16 fuel. Looking forward to running a standalone soon though.
