Drivers Door WONT CLOSE!!!

ok, i had the drivers door open for a while when i was working on it in the garage and now it wont close. it's definitely the latch is not hooking and when i put the key in and lock/unlock it it triggers something electronically and locks right back up after unlocking it. WTF

this has never happened before. please help

tried wd-40 i soaked it and also teh 1jz swap. :icon_bigg

still nothing...

im out there now taking the whole assembly apart. i did notice there is a small crack in the thin metal behind the handle and the handle does not line up right. i should get it.

if not ill have to go 2jz.:sarcasm:

Try lifting up on the door as well, if the hinges are fucked it won't line up (found this out the idiot way from asshole shop bringing a lift down on my door)

if the ignition is on it won't let you lock the door.

yes i know it wont let you lock it with the key in.
i took apart mostly everything and backed out the only screw on the inside plate that holds the latch and was able to turn the lock back the normal way. How it got like this i have no idea.

And i was working on the throttle cable linkage to the gas pedal

i will take some shots of the car tomorrow. this weather is crazy nice!

Weld the door shut, leave the window down and the targa off and practice jumping in the car dukes of hazzard style, its 1000% cooler than lambo doors!

You may want to start looking into the mechanisms on the door. Sounds like it is jammed shut.
