Does anybody have any review of DM's knock off bovs? I read one review in the TIAL BOV section which said that he liked it, didnt surge or leak, but it was only one review :/. Anyone else bought this, or any other knock off bov's from them? I just bought a ct 57 trim, i wanna protect my investment

I have a Tial kockoff that I bought like 6 years ago.
Never ever had a problem with it, and it sounds great.
I'm not saying it's as good as Tial at all, I'm just saying I've had complete success with the "wannabe".

:)

Mine was fine (and it's not made anymore by HKS so it being a knockoff isn't stealing money)

Most of the issues I've seen are from people putting them too close to heat sources, and that will kill even a real one...

What do you guys think about the saab bov mod?
Seems like people who did it were pretty satisfied
Btw i dont care about sound as long as it functions!

DO IT!!!!! If you are making some good power you can run 2 bosh bov if not 1 will do. Vent them back as close to the afm as you can so the afm can read the recirculating air and not dump fuel / bog like a non recirculating bov. It will sound louder if you have an aftermarket open intake rather than a drop in k&n on a stock air box.

I bought the DM IC kit and it came with a knock off HKS. It's worked fine so far, just be sure, you don't put it near the turbo.

i have a real hks in the spot as you can see in my avatar photo.

It hasn't failed in 7k miles but i want to have the flange relocated further away from the turbo

hmm ok, yeah i meant the bosch valve you get from a saab dealer for 70 bucks. would that protect my turbo well?

you know what, i decided not to go cheap and end up paying more in the long run, ima just get a tial/turbosmart, whatever is cheaper. thanks for the input!

It will protect your engine. Guy here locally has a supercharged corvette and is pushing 632 rwhp with 2 of them bosch bovs. Here are the part numbers for the BETTER BOSCH BOVS..... Man they have gone up in price but there is 4 on ebay used for about $20 shipped right now. Even if you get them new at $60 each thats half the cost of any aftermarket bov... but with 2 you can hold alot more power than some of them.....

saab# 4441895

bosch# 0 280 142 110 or 0 280 142 114

audi # 034 145 710 N

Just found out from Research the Bosch 0 280 142 114 and audi # 034 145 710 N can handle/been tested to 22 psi. So with that being said one of these will do for less than 400 hp. If you go over just add another one... good luck.......

ps. Dont buy the other bosh bovs that last 3 numbers end in 102, 103 104 etc . Buy the one with 110 and up those are the good ones.....

I've used knock off HKS's for 7 years and haven't had one fail... that's just my experience. Knock off Greddys were notorious for diaphragm damage. I had made a repair for them that made them reliable without buying authentic Greddy phrams. Again just my experiences. In fact, the knockoff HKS on my SRT4 has been there for 2 years of 20-22psi with no issues... boost leak checks always good. Most leaks were from hose connections.

I have a DM Tial knock off bov on my 67mm. Under low boost i do get some wasgate flutter, moderate and high boost it works great. One thing that people dont do is take the whole thing apart and grease every thing including the o-ring this increases the function ability and response of the bov because there arnt any sticking or chaffing parts. Also make sure your running a Map based system with a bov vented to atmosphere.

casue the bosch ones are pretty quiet and dont make that loud noise that the 200+ ones do, that lets eveyone know you have a turbo, which some people love. i had the bosch and i could barely hear it, even at 15psi and venting to air.
