heres the situation: I know the downsides of cut springs, they lower the spring rate, are for cheap honda drivers etc..
I found a pair of eibach sport springs with koni yellow shocks at the junk yard, front only which I installed on my car. Now the rear looks too high, and I don't intend on buying a whole set of springs, I am going to wait until I see some rear lowering springs and shocks in the junk yard, or someone local has some springs they can sell me.
How much will cutting one coil off the rear springs lower the car? I just cut one coil off on the bottom, in line with the spring bucket on the shock right? I have never cut springs before, and before this point never intended to. I will use my cut off wheel, cutting slowly to avoid heat build up. Anyone ever been in this situation before?
I know I'm gonna get flamed a bit for this, but its not a perminant thing.
Thanks
mike
