cruise control (no bueno)

ok i know people hate them, i now people don;t used them, but since that is the only thing from keeping my car to the closest to 100% than i should prolly do it. well my cruise doesn't work. the only think i know is when i try to activate it, the only thing that seems to work is the cruise light on the column. any ideas??

Actually, I love CC.

When mine stopped working, it was really simple - the switch on the clutch pedal needed to be re-adjusted.

Like Grim I use mine fairly often. After eyeballing everything run the CC diagnostics and see what comes up.

After I turn the CC on, how much speed decreasing is considered 'normal'?

CC is on my list of things to fix as well. Around here there are lots of cops, and its easy to speed in the supra. CC keeps my speed in check.

check the base of the cable at the actuator, that plastic piece breaks alot and will cause it to not work.

Another common problem is a worn out speedo cable that causes the speedo needle to jump around. That confuses the CC computer.

well its an auto, and i really don;t know really where to start. like i don't know how to run a cc diagnosis. and i get bad gas mileage so i was wanting that so i could have better fuel econ.

Mine worked the first week I got my Supra then never worked again.

My speedometer cable gets stuck @ 40-50 and makes noise when its really cold outside. Could that be the culprit?

got rid of my cruise control - the only time i used it was when i drove from texas to colorado once so i just got rid of it.

ok. here is all its doing. i'm cruising down the road at lets say 60. and i push the button on the dash. next i push in the button on the stearing wheel. its an 86.5 btw. and it does nothing. not sure how to fix.
