Crank seal change question.

i am changing the front crank seal on my car.its pulled apart,T-belt is off of it. the only problem im haveing is getting the gear off the crank.the one that the T-belt sits on.how is it done? do i just use a puller tool or is there a special procedure?



also i will be selling the car when this is done,as i have my eyes on another car!
so if you are intrested please feel free to shoot me offers or request pics.

Info on the car:
89' Turbo 5spd
white package.
2003 niisan 350z 18in. chrome wheels. near new tires in rear 245/45/18
6/32" in front 225/45/18.

cooleeze hardpipes
cooleeze hard intake pipe
BIC DDP
BIC test pipe
3" custom exhaust
Boost guage
Ebay type RS BOV-NO problems out of it whaat so ever

the car is white w/black hood. there is a dent in lower driverside door.
near perfect burgandy leather seats!

has a slight engine knock SOMETIMES!

T-belt,and Front crank seal will be replaced tomorow.

i am unaware of the mileage,as the speedo has not worked since ive owned the car.

probibly should take photo's of the problem and post those, if anything.

there is a gear on the front part of the crank behind the front cover which the timing belt rides on...thats what i'm trying to get off.

OK,just wanted to make sure before i tear sumthing up! btw these cars probably have to be the easiest to do T-belts on. I work at a nissan dealership as a tech,,,these are gravy compared to those!!

Generally they come off easily, I had a motor someone had "fixed" using DevconA it's a Titanium Epoxy.

This motor had suffered a loose balancer and trashed the crank snout so the Genuis had Epoxied the Pullies and Balancer on...... DOH

Took me an entire day to get it all off and I ended up trashing everything from the block forward :(
