:1zhelp:thanks for any input before hand

i recently purchased a 89 turbo to go along with my na

anyways the person i bought it from said that the CPS was bad and that he could start it but it would run really bad

Is there anyway to check the cps to see if its bad???????????????

also tried to start it last night after resetting it and nothing.

Is it possible to be 180 out on the timing???????????

the cps had a four prong trailer light plug wired into it when i got it is there anyway someone could post pics or tell me what color wires on the cps connect to what color wires on the harness

will the car start with a bad CPS

THANKS

i would check the timing 1st of all.
you could do a search on here as that topic has been discussed to death.

thanks but i already reset the timing i even popped out my #1 spark plug and may sure it was at TDC the cam gears are in line with the noches and the crank on 0 and reset my cps

I want to be sure i have the wires on the cps hooked up right just so i know

but anyways i figured out why it wouldn't start my coil packs are dead
checked ohms on them and all are pratically 0
there supposed to be 140-180

constant, and touch your contact leads together to see what the resistance is between them first, then subtract that from you readings
