I thought I'd turn to you guys.. Someone has offered me $500 cash + this:
Marvels 10th Anniversary Special Edition HC book (picture is on link below)

signed by Kurt Besiek himself.... Is it worth anything? The item I'm selling is $700... Is it worth the $200 difference?

Grab a copy of Wizard magazine if you can - if it's still around. Used to carry current average prices of MANY comic books.

I've looked on Ebay and Amazon.. its been around $30 dollars for just the book.. I dont know how much extra that dude's signature would raise it.. if he's that valuable

I'd say no.

Unless you are willing to try to sell it privately.... then maybe.

You can't take it to a shop and get fair value for it, the shop will only pay, on average, ~50% of fair market, because they can't sell it for MORE than fair market.

Furthermore, unless you're an expert in the field, you're unlikely to be able to tell the difference between a book in good or mint condition, and the price difference between the two is large.
