ok so im just wondering what everyone thinks. i need new suspension bad, im trying to decided on coilovers or new spring/shocks.

im not intro drag racing im more into road racing style. i dont do any autoX or track time or anything. i might in the future but thats a long ways off. right now it is my daily driver, i dont mind a stiff ride though. the adjustability is nice as i live around speed bumps and construction.

that being said would coilovers offer That much over say eibach springs and koni shocks?

how are coilovers in the long run, do they tend to blow and need rebuilt often? i know the supra is a beast so does the added weight become a problem? how hard are the coilovers to adjust properly for the best setup.

would money be better spent on spring/shocks/sway bars or coilovers.

COILOVERS FTW
coilovers work as one where as spring and shocks dont....but there are combos for spring and struts that have been working well for the supra, but if it were me i'd get coilovers with adjustability....its nice to have the option of controlling how low u want the car....
im waiting for results of the d2 coilovers 975$ and the magen coilovers 950$ i think both are 36 way adjustable not sur, check 935 motorsport and horsepower freaks...
theres a thread of the magen coils in the 935 vendor thread....check it out these pictures and some results
heard good result of both but waitng if ne weaknesses if ne and more results at the track....

springs shocks and sways man. at the point you are right now, they will be a good option. and theyre even good for autox and what not. Coilovers tend to have less road life then shocks and springs as well but theyre alright if youre a hardcore racer. but a nice sway, spring and shock setup will be much better IMO, and you'll have extra cash!

usage life is a big concern. dumping a grand into coilovers only to have them blow in a year would Really suck. again being a daily driver has me worried a few nasty pot holes could do alot of damage...

yes all depends on budget. coilovers are best, however bang for your buck a good set of springs/shocks are a very good choice as well.

Personally I would make my own coilover setup using an A1 catalog. I would also lower the frame perch of my front upper control arms...

But for more practicality. I have the Eibach/Bilstein setup and I like them. I also have ST sway bars. It is really a nice combination especially with the rear sway bar set stiff.

I love my JIC FLT-A2 coilovers! I have ST springs and stock shocks with tems set on high for my other car and it's not too bad at all, but there is a BIG difference in the way they handle under "spirited" driving conditions. If you can afford it, good coilovers are worth the money. Bilstein shocks are at the top of the list for a good shock, and for springs there are a lot of choices and none are too bad. H&R ride a little too low, imho.
