Code 14

My car wont start, I pulled the codes and I have a code 14. Tried clearing it but it came back when I try to start it. Iv tried searching for info about code 14 but couldn't find much. Anyone know what could be causing this or how to get rid of it?

Diagnosis

* No "IGF" signal to ECU "A" times in succession.
A = 6-8 (7M-GE)
A= 3 (7M-GTE)

Trouble Area

* Igniter and ignition coil circuit
* Igniter and ignition coil
* ECU

Thanks, but i already read this. Iv checked the igniter and the coils and they check out fine per the TSRM. The car was running then it shut off by its self and now it wont start.

Check the EFI fuse.

I checked all the fuses and they are all good.

same happened to me, car was idling just fine and then just shut off without warning or fanfare...

it turned right back on, but I'm always ultra-paranoid about it now, since a bit earlier it wouldn't stay on at all, just crank, turn on and die...

hope it's not the ECU...

Yes. Read post # 2 again.

And although by now you know it isn't the EFI fuse it was never possible for it to be the cause because if the fuse was bad you wouldn't be able to read codes...

Did he say whether or not he had spark at cylinder 1?

No, there is no spark at cylinder 1.

May want to start seeing if the ECU is fried. I was at a meet this week and a guy said on his car a ground was lose and actually fried his ecu..

It's highly unlikely to be the ECU.

No, there is no spark at cylinder 1.

Is there spark at any cylinder?
