So as you guys know, I just got my new clutch in the mail on friday. I took the supra to the clutch place on Sunday night, left it there with my clutch kit in the passenger side seat. Get a call today from the guys telling me they were going to start working on it, get another call a couple minutes later saying they can't find my clutch kit in my car.
Totally gone.
Please everyone keep an eye out for an XTD stage 2 clutch kit, for a mk3 supra. It was the only thing stolen as far I know. The guy said my stereo and stuff is still there.
If anyone has seen it up anywhere, please PM me or give me a call

The car was sitting in their lot when it was stolen? did anyone there see that you had it in the car? (like when you dropped off the car, did you talk to someone and show them that you had the parts and where you were leaving them?) If so then I would say its their responsibility to replace the parts "they" lost.

Its called "reasonable care" - if they failed to provide reasonable care and protection of your property while it was in their possession, then they should be held liable for your losses. I wouldnt get snippy with them right off the bat, But I would make it clear to them that your not happy that your parts were stolen while they were in their care. See if they are willing to replace your parts and file the claim with their insurance company. If they are a reputable business they should be willing to do for the sake of their reputation, and good will towards their customers.

Damn right, How did they get in if you locked your car, did they break a window?

Well, it was sitting in their parking lot....
and as for doing it my self, I have pretty much no tools to handle it and sure as hell dont have enough knowledge.

You need to go to the garage and demand there insurance pays for your clutch.

It was on THERE property.

Or tell them youll see them in small claims court!

I see that Im of the school of thought "You can attract more flies with honey than with vinegar" (meaning, if you're nice to begin with they may be more willing to help you out of the situation)

...and your of the school of thought "...but if your rip off their wings they have to eat what you feed them" (meaning, if you get pissy with them they will do what you want to make you go away)

Its almost impossible to tell which method will work better in an given situation. Sometimes it takes doing both.

Well put weez.
I think I'll try with being nice and asking nicely that they give me the new clutch for free, and if that doesn't work, well then I'll be mad.

Installing own parts at home - - - FTW

Parents live in a neighborhood with a housing association FTL...very limited in what I can do to the Sup...well...when they're around that is :naughty: (*cough* driveshaft rebuild and painting rims when they leave next week *cough*)

Haha in a little over a year I'll hopefully have my own house, or should I say garage!1!!

That makes me nervous, I dropped my car off to get the new clutch installed yesterday and I also left my clutch on the passenger seat. But I know if anything happened to my car at that shop they'd try their best to help me out, or compensate me. So I would definitely try to talk to them gearhead to gearhead and calmly first. I'm 90% sure they'd be more accepting to helping you out rather than tearing their head off first
