im having this problem. Care to explain and give some part numbers. your post was a big vague.

MB had so many complaints about brake squeals with the S series they issued a voluntary recall to have this redesigned brake shims added to the calipers.

I have tried two different brand brake pads now stoptech and ceramic power and have had issues with both.

I have autozone ceramic pads and im sure i broke them in properly.i even cross hatched the rotors again with and rotor hone tool and still had it. Im going to give these a shot. Hatter did theses do the trick, any rehoning of the rotors again or different pads?

To answer your question i didn't do a thing when i installed the shims, I just pulled the pads greased the shims and reinstalled the pads and so far they are as quite as can be.

figure I'll share mine. got the calipers for about 70 shipped. rotors were about 130. new seals and boots were 25. new braided lines were 54. new washers were 17 for qty10. powder coat was about 100. silver matalic with clear. and just threw on 8 dollar brembo decals. hub centrics were 12. see pics.

I'm probably going to tackle this after I'm done with my 1uzfe swap this summer.

I've just done the same mod, including the rear's

Front S500 Calipers + R350 Rotors
Rear Evo 5-9 Calipers + Wrx sti rotors (fits handbrake drums without modifications)

Fits my Borbet A Rims without problems (17" 8.5 ET10 up front and 10 ET15 in the rear)

The new calipers weighs just a bit less than the original caliper, only the new rotors are ridiculously heavy!

I see that OP stated that brakes would not clear with xxr521 18x10 +25 but would it be possible using spacers?

Anyone know where I can find new o-rings for the calipers? I took mine apart and the rebuild kit I ordered didn't include them. The MBZ dealer said they can't get them either.

if you are talking about the seals, you should be able to get new universal ones from any auto shop. You just need to measure the pistons to get the right size.

rockauto and any parts store sells them as a caliper repair kit but other than that anything else is going to be included in a brake hardware kit on top of it... usually banjo washers arent included in any of the kits only in reman calipers.

if it's an oring, that you can just buy one from a parts store that's the correct size.

is it the small one in this picture? This is a "caliper repair kit" from rockauto, costs $3.75
