That COP looks very very nice, anything about it that you don't like?

Actually I think it turned out great and I liked how "plug n play" the whole mod was. If I had to say something negative about it, that would have to be where the last coil sits on the 6th cylinder plug is directly in the way of where the throttle cable assembly sits and it was a small PITA to get both of them installed at the same time. Changing spark plugs will be a bit longer of a process due to that alone. Other than that, the mod is awesome!

17 to 18 is lean as hell, not rich.
Are you getting black smoke or something?

Ps- if that braided fuel line touches that alternator post, it's instant game over.
I had my set up the exact same way, with the same teflon lined hose. I changed to a rubber coated AN line for that spot.

14.3-15.3 is the running range on mine.. if I go WOT, it goes down to about 11.2 (used to be 10.0 or lower, but was so rich it would wash the oil off the cylinder walls, so I cut back fuel pressure).
17-18 FPR in WOT is how you melt pistons...

I was a little leery about running the fuel line that close to the alternator in the first place but the line is really tight and I don't think it's going anywhere for the time being anyway... I will look at getting some insurance to cover that post in the form of a rubber cover or maybe cover the line in something non-conductive.

I only ran the car for a few minutes before I hooked up the SAFC2 and realized that 17-18 was SUPER LEAN! Glad I didn't run the car longer than I did! I thought with the 550/lex afm mod the car was supposed to run super rich not super lean? Also once I got the SAFC2 installed I had to crank the fuel values to like +27% to get to 14.7 on my wideband. I'm wondering if the injectors I installed without flowing/testing/cleaning are not the 550cc injectors the seller claimed them to be... Or could it be that my fuel pressure needs to be higher? I'm running around 32psi on the gauge.

Latest news is the SAFC2 is hooked up and working properly as far as I can tell and the car runs and idles nicely at +36% adjustment. The problem now is anytime I get any sort of boost pressure at all the car goes stupid rich (9.5-9.7 afr). Under no boost driving conditions she runs like a champ. Been checking for boost leaks and haven't found anything to be leaking, though I'm going to read up on "how to test for boost leaks" after updating here.

Update! Got a buddy from a little north of me to come down and help me tune the car a bit (Thanks Clayton!) and she's running pretty damn good! Peaking at about 14lbs and quickly settling to 12lbs under WOT and pulls like a champ with acceptable AFRs (10.5ish under WOT and 14.7-15 at idle). I don't really want to turn the boost up much more with the stock IC and associated piping as I've read that it's probably not a good idea.

I'm pretty happy with the car as it sits now and will likely be leaving it the way it is for awhile with maybe the exception of an IC/hard piping kit but the reason for that is I recently picked up a JDM 2JZ from an import company in Lynnwood, WA for a decent price. It's the turbo version with VVT-i and my plan for it is to build it for 800 to 1k hp and put 550-600 hp injectors in it for the time being. Once I finish building the motor, I plan on dropping the subframes and doing a proper rebuild of the entire car. This will likely not be for a year or two while I amass some parts and build the 2J.

Pics when I get home today!

As promised, the porn...

This was a pretty expensive weekend for myself but even more expensive for the GF who rode this Aprilia home from Woodinville the same day I picked up the 2J... It was a loooong day.

And the obligatory sales dude snapped a quick pic of us right before she hopped on and tore off out of the parking lot... just kidding! Zero miles on the bike, she'll be breaking it in for a couple hundred miles at least.

Might go snap a couple more pics of the engine in it's current state (in process of being torn down) but I need a bigger breaker bar to get the crank shaft pulley bolt to budge and get it down to just the block/head.
