No.

U2 is the worst racing game I think they have ever produced. It is the only one I never finished! I put it away when I realized it was just making me angry how the computer has to cheat - and cheat BAD - just to stay competitive.

MW has better graphics, better story, more realistic handling, and the NPCs are more realistic - except the cops.

Oh - and GTA blows. Bigtime. I don't care who you can have sex with or whether you can jump your car over a building, it's obviously a game built for the simple controls you can get on a gaming console that was cheaply ported to PC. (Still better than U2 though, I've finished all the GTA games at least.)

uhh, grim thats sad man, GTA:SA one of the most inovative games for PC. its 50 times better than the console version, u can use controller and mouse and keyboard. and all the GTAs can be modded, new cities, cars everything its a very inovative game. hopefully ur not one of those parents that gets their info from Jack Thompson.
Just saying not trying to offend.

as for MW, how could u possibly like that game it has collision detection all over the place, the story is half assed, and the modification to the cars is pretty sad, they also have like 1/5th of the cars NFSU2 has.

yes, NFSMW, is gimped, its nice graphics and all, but it just doesnt have the modification to the car like NFS: U2, NFSU2 has fuel maping, ECU mapping, Turbo tuning, and some other stuff, NFSMW has a small menu with a slide bar, wtf.
go get NFSU2, o yea and NFSU2 has more cars.

NFSU2 was a joke. the fact that you HAD to rice your car to get further in the game was the worst feature ive seen in any driving game.

all that tuning shit was gay. NWS:MW is pretty much my favorite NFS. it combines all the good from hot pursuit and underground with alot of the bad weeded out. MW gets back more to a driving oriented game, rather than pimpin your ride out to score big points.

oh noes! less cars. i think the list of cars in MW was just fine. hell, it had something for everyone. if you wanna rice out your civic, you could do it. or if you wanted to drive high class in a carrera GT, you could as well.

the only cars i used in the game were an IS300(cuz i had to) elise, supra and gallardo.

the underground series was made to cater to the mainstream 'tuner' (read, ricer) market. some which have yet to come out of the closet:aigo:

I like the way the tuning is, still havent seen the others, but i can dial in any car just fine.. if i want it loose to drift, or tight for high speeds, its all there... down to 5 now... getting the hang of it..:)

LOL, no Jack is an asshat. Virtually every computer geek agrees on that score, and I'm no different.

I know that GTA is innovative... it just doesn't innovate in a way that I enjoy. When I'm driving a car game fast, I want to drive a nice car in a realistic manner - not some 50s caddy or pickup truck.

What it boils down to is that IMO driving games should be racing games... and GTA isn't, it's more of an RPG. I don't play RPG games, mostly they are just too damn boring.

midnight club 2 dub edition, now thats a good game sooo many cars and SO many different things you could do to it, damn good game.

NFS:MW seems a bit shitty lol. Awesome graphics and good gameplay but the car selection and customization just isnt there.

I don't WANT to modify my cars in games like NFS. I hated all the modifications that were so unrealistic in NFS:U and U2. I was much more of a fan of the earlier NFS games where you couldn't even modify anything than U and U2. I guess that's why I like MW.

I don't care how long the list of cars is, or if I can modify them. As long as there's a bunch of good tracks, there's enough cars, the game feels fast, and is fun!

Gran Turismo on the other hand, I see as more of a simulator, so the fact that you can get so many cars, modify them realistically and race on real tracks, makes it very appealing as well.

NFS:U and U2 just went in the wrong direction for the NFS series IMO.

When i say customization, im not talking about ricing out the car, i was talking about the tuning ability NFSU2 had, as where NFSMW doesnt its got a small menu to mess with turbo lag, fuel, breaking and what not.

Sure, they had all kinds of tuning options - and you could leave them alone and still whip the entire game without any difficulties with handling or power.

The only thing making advancement in the Underground series difficult was the cheating computer opponents, your car setup mattered not one bit. Well, except that you can't get enough reputation to progress without ricing out your car with silly looking vinyl, stickers, bodykits, and paint, which is another thing that pissed me off.

if only they had a more detailed paint ability...instead of just "part by part" paint.

Yeah, either get Forza, GT4, or PGR3. NFS ain't got nothing on them.
