well Im a complete turbo NOOB! so I figured it was a good idea to ask. By next month I hope to have the money for a turbo upgrade and so Im starting to look at options that will help get me to my hp goal.

If anyone has any advice on low budget upgrades please feel free to jump in.

350rwhp is not "PUSHING" a good upgraded CT26.

Whoever told you that is all lies.

Best bang for the buck, without having to get any adapter plates/flanges/exhaust manifold, an upgraded CT is the cheapest way to go and VERY effective to a stocker. Ask me, I know. ;)

If you are interested, shoot me (or Jon [MDC]) a PM and we'll hook you up.

Jeff

:NinjaEdit: At 13psi w/ a boost leak and untuned, I put down 315rwhp/360rwtq on a 60-1 CT.

CT26 upgrade/rebuild.
yeh... i'd shoot myself if i couldn't make 350 on an upgraded ct... 400 is easily within grasp...

i'm'll go ahead and recomend jtamulis/jeff for a ct upgrade... he does excellent 57 trims upgrades. If you want to know more (assuming you don't know a lot) get a hold of him, and he'll give you a lot of helpful info.

What if I said my budget for a turbo (not my 350hp goal) was $500? still doable? My budget for taking Lucy to 350hp is about $1500 total.

Jeff does not make these turbo's. He sells them. MDCMOTORSPORTS is usually the supplier for him...So, as I originally stated, MDCmotorsports...

:x:

When I had my .57 trim, I was VERY happy with it. When I dynoed it, it was sort of a messup, but I did 240rwhp/250rwtq @ about 9psi.

Only reason I got rid of it was because I wanted something with a bit more top end (and decided to go with a 60-1)...now, soon down the road, will unfortunately  be leaning away from upgraded CT's...

Anywho, for 350rwhp, You should be just fine with a fresh .57 trim.

As for spool, my .57 trim began spool at about 2850rpms, as to my 60-1 begins spool at about 3050rpms. Not bad at all. :)
