seriously josh, don't accept the 1st offer they make!!! tell them it is un acceptable, and tell them to find a car with the similar mods for the price theu offered! when my car burned i had an evaluation for $7000, but money and time was spent in the car . i obvoisly had pictures to prove it, but i ended up with $10 000.

Thnx Marc

I asked her that then began to explain about the time and money invested in the car then sent some examples of other cars in either similar condition or with the same or almost the same mods. the only car that had anything close is being sold for $14,000

I am going to push very hard on this one by the way the company in Promutuel and i have not heard any thing good about them when people need to make a claim :3d_frown:

Let's see so here is the update on the Insurance company

They cut off my rental car and have delayed in getting back to me. They then have claimed that it will only cost $6000 to fix my car which is a bunch of bull. I already spoke to some people at the garage where my car is being held and they were telling me much more to get everything fixed. Much, Much more then $6000

I am fuming mad with them first they said the car was a write off and low ball me on the offer then make me produce all my bills for additions to the car just to say that they are going to fix the car anyways. Which they could have told me when i told them about the additions and not to mention they still have no idea about the cost of Fixing a Supra here in Canada and also the actual Market Value of the car here.

My file is getting handed off to a different agent tomorrow, apparently so we will see how things go. This person is supposed to be more Knowledgeable about cars and understand more about what needs to be done. The last agent i spoke with really had no idea about Supra's

They have frustrated me beyond belief thus far lets see how much further they try and push me before i snap.

So much for the idea of what an insurance company is supposed to do. Comfort and support you in these times of need and "Insure" that you have everything covered and either get it repaired or cover for the value of the item that was lost.

same over here mate, insurance companies are your best friend when you are paying the premium.
But if you need to claim you get treated like shit.

ICBC FTL...

Here's to hoping that they pull their heads out of each other's asses and actually do something useful for a change.

I am going to put together a parts list of all the parts on the car that i saw and can think of that need to be fixed and then get Toyota to price out those parts.

So far i am up to 42 Parts (only the bigger items that i can think of) and that is just parts that will need to be replaced or saved if they can be, but most will need replacing and Finding Parts here in Montreal for Supra's is next to impossible. Usually you need to either look in the USA and ship everything or buy it brand new.

This is just to show them that the cost of fixing the car is much more then there adjuster had said and quoted them.

The insurance company still has not provided a copy of the adjusters report and they also have not provided a reason for why i pay so much in insurance if i am a good driver and the car is worth Apparently so little and they still refuse to recognize the other supras for sale and their value. Not to mention that they took away my rental car when they were not supposed to and have not given me a new rental yet
