First off, thanks Tun_x for the post.
Going powerglide over TH350 because this is being converted into a drag car. With a high stall and loads of power, don't need anything more than a 2 speed.
A 6,000RPM still will keep the engine in its peak torque range for longer.
Car went from stock auto to R154 5 speed. And only 2 months on the manual, I decided to switch to a glide due to blowing up 2 R154 trannies in that time.
Also reviewing the tape later, the IC blow off was due to a nitrous backfire.
