My supe died yesterday. it spun (a few) bearings. but brought me home.

:nono: Truth is, me and my nephew just got off from work. the sun was bright, the top was off. 94 mustang tried me, rolling at 70 I wiped all his smug country slicker smile inch by inch. car went 148mph. woooooooooooooooooo!-LMAO lovely! I got my first kill. then 20 miles from home-clack!clack!clack!clack!clack!clack!clack! I poured 2 quarts of marvel and made it home slowly.

on the way home- some honda tuners saw flashers and came in for the kill revving up to a dead supe. m/f dont know we think honds not worth the gas money.
:3d_frown:
Now I get to start a build thread.

The car is down and the rebuild can begin.
its gonna get a complete rebuild. MHG, ARP, crank, etc.

I want a saturday night special thats taking care of business. I mean a really trick, really cool (sleepy) daily driver.

I hope to setup up a speed/density combination with a bic DDP.

I felt that maft-pro would be great tool because it can do the job of rev/speed limit, boost, A/F, timing control.

the speed/density setup is so i can remove MAF, but im concerned with driveability for street.

BIC DDP is to scare the pejesus out the coonasses :aigo:

i also like monitoring, so i wanna setup cool electronics so i can see MAP, A/F, EGT, oil temp too. (i know... some externals are needed). (robosupra :evil2: )

I want to have a lotta fun with this car when im done. Im setting up like i want high HP, but im really going for high reliability.

In other words build it tough for over 600hp, but use ~300+ at the rear. around 13's-whatever the stock injectors allow before destruction.

Another addition (hopefully) is air-ride suspension. I wanna be the first supe to get rid of the springs. gotto do some research to see if avail.:1zhelp:

I hope the maftpro will also able me to tune this car for great gas mileage as an ULTIMATE daily driver.

thanks for lettin me daydream a minute... the business is calling me. rebuild money!
post pics so soon!

damn NDBOOST. 90 got it done? whoa-

thats (nervrackin) cool
idunno- this one had ~250.6k Miles. I was scared to go past 1k in fifth. it was ABUSED before I got it. I'm impressed by the tough platform

funny thing is... im smilin cause i read sage advice somewhere on SM "wait three months to know your supe, then mod the thing if its good.

I wanted to buy everything in sight for a moment. but i'm glad I waited cause I was saving $.
a rebuild is doable for a first timer this way.
thanks guys...

 +1 quart is one of my favorite mods for a supra
it also raises OP a lil' bit

they can hold 10 ltrs? 10qts? without touchin the crank

anyways
everyone love your Supe everyday: give it extra protection at 6:icon_evil

Today starts the final process to get the powerplant transplant.
I got lucky! i got some canadian bacon for my supe! yummy.

thanks for the link daledoe. even the little things help.

AND... BIG UP to toyotasrfun.
Hes been instrumental in all this. It cost me more to get that motor shipped than the longblock itself. (ouch) im prolly using unishippers.

The hard part is almost over
hmm. now i better start lookin for a MHG, decent turbo, and headers. I may need a complete gasket set too!

damn it feels good to see some light at the end of the tunnel!

this is my 90th post on SM
naturally, i want it on my 1990 supra post

I was HOOOOOOOKED up through justin727 this weekend with a very nasty motor.
I am still waiting on gabe. maybe he'll write today

I can be a mean SOB- (anda nut!)
The rest of the time i am fair (as i could be!)

i may end up with two motors- not a bad thing for a DD supra!

Still, i appreciate help when it comes. i feel its an insult to my friend gabe to just drop a deal like this.

if anyone up north still needs a motor- hit me up on a pm or somethin.
cauz its rebuilt by a toyo tech, to stock specs.
(PS its DIRT CHEAP too!)

thanks!
