87 7m Turbo build pic thread

Hi everybody my names Jason im 25. this supra is the 7th car i have built.
I drove a jeep wranger yj on superswampers 6 miles at 55mph on the off chance id trade.i thought i would die the entire trip.

cant decide what color scheme i want to go with.
the wiring in the engine bay was scary to say the least. wires exposed EVERYWHERE. he relocated the battery to thee trunk and the wiring was hacked and down right scary. so i decided my next step was to clean up the bay and do a proper wire tuck.

might take a video the next few days if i have to explain it better........
first of the car needs a jump to start, i think i have a weak battery.
rewiring the battery helped but didnt solve it,
when ever u start after not running it it turns over very hard, sometimes popping/clunking and other uncomfortable sounds.
is that a bad starter or should i troubleshoot something different?
i assume by the signifigance of the job the previous owner never replaced it.
it does start up well after its been running

I saw this on Maine Craigslist....I love how in the add it said 1jz when obviously it is a 7m. Hope all goes well with it, and I hope you can do cleaner work then the previous owner.

thanks i noticed that too i just relisted it so you will prob see it again. i like to think i would never do work that hacked.

timing help.... cyl 1 is set to tdc. crank pulley marks are set to 10*. cant for the life of me set the cam sensor lined up properly, it pops left or right. operator error?>

If no1 is at tdc the crank pulley should be at zero. If its not you need a new crank pulley.

Also te1 and e1 need to be jumped to set the timing.
