Try Kaizen or Driftmotion, the 5 speed 2jz swap, sure, but a 2jz 6 speed Mark III, well I hope you have a fuck load of money.

It can be done. Will have to make a custom trans tunnel and source all the parts.

I only know of a few who have done this. And u better have money ready.. Is their a reason why u dont go 2jz with the r154?

The 2JZ-6SPD swap is under $6K, making it affordable but I have not rule out the R154.

Where are you getting that quote??? I thought the tranny alone was 4k+ pretty sure and I may be wrong but Toyota only used them in the Top of the line USDM Mark IV TT Supra and nothing else making them pretty hard and expensive to get.

Yes the GETRAG trans is gonna end up with the shifter in your center console. Transmissions sell on ebay for 3-4k. Yeah, you can get a 2jz 6 speedfor 6k on ebay but understand your getting a mystery motor, and even if the motor turns out to be ok, your still gonna spend alot more getting it in your car and running, even if you do the work yourself.

I'm with most of the other people on this thread.

Go with a 1jz or 2j with the r154. The Getrag gearbox costs as much on its own as the 2j long block, sometimes more.

Or hell, if you want something unique or just bragging rights, go with a 1.5j

I'm pretty sure I've seen someone on here do the 6 speed swap. They had a build thread. The shifter and its components have to be extended to make it fit.

just go with an R154, they're much cheaper, easier to find, bolt up to the 2JZ if you're using a 1JZ bellhousing, and what everyone else forgot to mention, WONT HAVE TO SWAP YOUR DIFFERENTIAL..

the mkiii gearing is way too high for the V160/V161...

I'm sorry, but you really have no idea what you are getting yourself into if you think you can swap a 2jzgte with getrag into a MarkIII for 6 grand.
