Is this needed? I honestly don't see a use for it. I see plenty of oil passages going threw the head. I have -8 AN PVC lines.

Isnt it for venting the crackcase pressure up to the valve covers so it doesnt blow out the mains.

Easy enough to make a custom hose with 3/4 copper piping or 1" 90* pex pipe fittings and 7/8" oil resistant hose

Here's what I have made formy engine:
Pex pipe 90* fitting and hose:

I also have -8 AN vent fittings, but I keep the big guy just to keep the crankcase pressure as low as possible :)

It was actually done to fill in the Old Distributor hole in the Block ;)

How on earth would a Vent between the Cam cover and the Block relieve pressure?
(think about it a bit)

Eh, I've seen the oil return and venting passages and wasn't all that thrilled with them, perhaps they changed through the years? I liked my 4AGE's much better as far as CC venting went

With the fuel rail, -12 lines, FFIM I'm running it's a super tight fit. I have to probably run a 45 put of it to the front, 90 down with a 30 coming out of the block. If I can block it off it would save alot of work.

Up to you, only thing I can see it actually doing is a Drain for slung Oil off the front of the Cams, it's not ventilating anything as both the Cam cover and Crankcase are at the same pressure due to all of the internal passages.

You can pull the Block fitting easily enough then cap it with a welsh plug, not sure how easy the one in the cam cover pops out.

I actually tapped the cover to 3/4 npt and block to 1" npt. So I can just get a plug. If I end up running into PCV problems somehow I can still use it.

Cool, I just bought a new hose for mine and ignored it as it doesn't hurt anything.. as I said the block hole of from the old 5M Distributor so I guess someone at Toyota figured it's a good way to add a drain, it has NOTHING to do with the PCV system unless all the other holes in the Head are full of Oil for some bizarre reason..
