umm
no

because they are the same :)

both 7m-ge and 7m-gte are 91mm stroke.

Only way to stroke is to buy a stroker kit from suprarich or flatlanders (suprarich would be ideal) and go from there. Of course you can be crazy and do what defiant"Allen"7m did and do a 101mm stroke. :)

I have the Flatlander kit. Don't know if Defiant ever got his 101 running yet I know he was close a few months ago.

I did it backwards...7MGE internals in GTE block running a turbo. Not exactly my smartest decision. :3d_frown:

I think everything is the same except for the oil squirters.

How would one go about getting one of these stroker kits.
Whats the price range on the kits.
Or where could I find them at?

Don't. You'll make about the same power as a turbo car with a full 3", stock CT, but you'll pay a lot more for it.

What does a stroker kit do then?

Would I be better off just getting stonger N/A rods, pistons.
Then boosting that.

What are your power goals? For most things, a stock bottom end is fine, though you want to get oil squirters (not sure if you can modify a GE for them or not). You just looking for a fairly quick street car, right? 3-500hp?

Stroker kits don't do a whole lot for a 7M, at least not compared to a turbo. NA vs NA stroker, there is quite a bit of difference (AJ up there is making ~220rwhp NA, IIRC), but the cost effectiveness and reliability are concerns of mine. Some motors (like the Nissan L28, for example) can benefit greatly from stroking and boring. A stock L28E puts out MAYBE 160rwhp, compared to a 3.1l stroker making close to 270 with some 3.2s making just over 300rwhp.

Takes a lot to get power from a GE. Mine dynoed at 215 before the Maft-Pro and bigger injectors, maybe 230 now. Stroker kit will run upwards of 2k and then you have to change a lot of other things to get the full potential.

for 2k you could just buy a gte motor or n/a-t your motor with turbo everything.

ninja edit: or try to find a turbo thats got a crappy body and runs good for 2k then swap everything from the n/a into the turbo car and turbo into the n/a and then you can race and beat on the n/a as much as you please and not worry alot about it :)
