The rear end depends on what speed you will be trapping in the 1/4, you want just enough gear to top out 3rd when you cross the line, no clue what speedo cable.

Does any one use the th350 in a daily driver, i know that it would be low geared but if a person had a 3:73. Then it would be possible to have a car that could travel highway speed easy right?

How much HP and TQ are you making? You might want to look into a built 700r4 with a full manual valve body. You would get the full benifit of 4 gears, and with the 3.73 you can enjoy cruising on the highway. One downside is that it costs more than a built th350.

I have a built 350 already and a stall convertor so i'm pretty sure to go with it. I just mainly wanted to know if any one had a way of gettin the speedo to work.

It's an adaptor, about $145 I called the place, I forgot where tho.... Seems like oneandgone told me where to get it, iirc.

Jawsgear has a 3.43 that will take some of the sting out of highway driving or you could go with a gear vendors overdrive unit.

I wouldn't really call mine a daily driver but I sure like the TH better than roasting Toy trannies.

Inside the TH350 you want a 22 driven and 7 tooth drive gear which will be very close to accurate as you can get without using some kind of bias for a 3.90 and 4.10 rear ends. Its actually about 99.9XXX% accurate for one ratio in comparison to the stock drive and driven gear ratio, I forget which, but all the other combinations are way off.

You need a custom cable. Tacoma speedometer as well as other shops can make this for you. You use a factory dash speedo cable connector and they make the rest of the cable and put a standard TH350 square drive end on the other side. You need to figure what length you need. You also need a 90 degree continuous adapter to clear the body. Then if you want your abs to still work you need an 8K PPM inline signal generator and Dakota Digital SGI-5.

Asking what rearend to use without giving any kind of WHP #s and tire size/purpose of the car isn't happening.

It is possible, you just need to get the parts above and do a little bit of work to get behind the gauge cluster, very simple. Tacoma speedometer will build you the custom cable for about $36 with you supplying the old core cable so they can get the dash connector. If you don't want abs you can skip the 8k ppm signal generator and Dakota Digital SGI-5.

Do you by chance have their contact info?

I come from a land down under
I run a correction box in my cable to get the speedo dead on at Highway speeds.

For the ratio question go for a drive in 4th manual or 3rd with a stock auto and this is what the 350 will be like.

What will hurt more is no lockup on the High Stall.
