Left to do... build the exhaust, install the intercooler and cut/route all of the intercooler piping, intake, make a fuel line, install a/c lines and p/s lines, replace the fuel pump, install the driveshaft, install the slave cylinder, heater hoses, route and plug in the wiring harness, install radiator and fan, throttle cable, etc.

This swap is comin' along nicely ! When i banger my firewall, i taped a rag to the sledge hammer to make softer punches. However I banged it a lil' too much and craked the evaporator housing which is what's on the other side the firewall. Upside is that I can now fit my hand all the way back there !

I had ran into some tranny crossmember alignement problems, which wasn't solved by just flipping the crossmember around.

Quick question-
Did you retain the JDM components? Turbos, injectors, cams?

Thanks
Steve

BTW - great thread, any additional pics of the firewall adjustment would be appreciated

Swap is done, but it's not starting. Looks like we have the wrong ECU. Anyone have a 2JZ Aristo ECU they could sell?

Interesting, always been told the 2J wouldn't fit with a fan shroud. How's the clearance?

Who said that. Its essentiall the same diamentions as the 1j and that works with a fan fine.

I logged 75 hours on that project, our shop rate is $75/hour so he technically "should" have paid over $5k just in labor, obviously we can't charge that in real life (which is why we charge a flat rate on swaps instead of by the hour). So to answer your question, $2500 - $3500 depending on various options.
