Just tell him you need a patch harness to adapt a JZA70 harness to a JZZ30 ECU. He will know what you're talking about. It will come depinned, so you will have to insert the pins into the JZZ30 Soarer ECU connectors. Just use the...
It can be easily done. Most of the pinouts between the JZA70 and JZZ30 have the same designations such as M-REL and BATT, for example. You won't use some of the pins on the Soarer ECU connectors, especially if you are using a manual transmission. I had to do this for a friend a few years ago...
I ran into the same problem when I went single on my 2J. Since I wanted to keep the heater, I used the 1JZ water pipe. The 1JZ pipe will clear the downpipe, all you have to do is block off the small coolant port for the rear turbo. If you aren't going to keep your heater, you can always just...
The 3 wire connector (Red/Black, Yellow, Black) goes to the transmission. This connector is for the ABS speed sensor.
2 wire connector (Red/Black, Yellow) goes to the transmission for the reverse lights.
The single wire brown connector is for the starter.
I can't see the wire going off...
the stock intercooler would be ok for your hp goals, but diy intercooler kits are really inexpensive nowadays. also the jza70 intercooler is bigger than the ma70.
I scrape my exhaust/frame rail on almost every speed bump or incline I come across.
The other week my dp actually broke while going over some railroad tracks. I just bought a flex section for the dp I'm installing so that should help a lot, and as much as I don't want to, I'll have to raise my...
yeah, there's really no way of knowing unless you can find some way to contact the manufacturer. I'm just going by what the previous owners said about their ecus before I used them. all I know is that my ecu works with stock injectors and can let the engine rev to 8k.
if you have one, use a torch and heat the bolt, then take an impact to it.
also you can rest the engine on level ground, put a block of wood in the front and rear of the engine to balance, lock the bolt with a breaker bar against the ground, and hook up the starter to get the bolt off. that's...
