Not sure if any one has already posted this, but here are the torque specs for our engines can we put this where it won' get buried
all torques should be in several passes
- head bolts = 25 ft lbs mark ft of bolt and go another 90 x 2, 180 degrees total
- connecting rod caps= 22 ft lbs...
Just wanting to know if any one has, or is using these dd steel wheeled ct12a's from ebay. The folks on soarer central seem to like em. Just wondering if any one in the U.S has em .

I got this car from a friend who had spun the #4 bearing it was in bad condition.
So me thinks I have everything hooked up right , car drives and shifts great except when i push the overdrive button to go into 4 gear it won't stay in 4 it switches from 3to4 to3 to4 to3 to4 till I push the od button back in and then in 3rd at about 60mph I'm running a little above 3 grand.no...
Oh yea, finally the beast lives.Sounds so great to here it run and know that all the componets work.Once I get all the bugs worked out, I'll post all the wiring for the rest of us who ended up with a soarer 1j.
Has anyone done a soarer or chaser 1j swap into an ma70? I have found lots of great info/diagrams for the supra based 1j and how to tell them apart. But the wiring/plugs and colors are different from what I've seen. Does anyone know what the 2 plugs that come off the driverside,1 oval 3 wires...
Hello, I'm in the middle of swapping a 1j into my 87 na. My question: My 1j is an auto so is my donar car, but the 1j doesn't use a speedo cable. Wondering what others have done with there swaps.
I'm new and just wanted to say hello to all. I've been a supra man for ever .Have a terracotta 83 5spd with 6M I built and also an 87 na "spun #4 rod bearing I picked up for cheep, with a 1j on the way. Very excited.
