    rod/main bearings

Throwing on a Driftmotion CT2657trim - Headgasket First??

Actually it's the opposite with head bolts you can have a false torque reading from having crap in threads of the block with studs you can just clean the hole with compressed air and verify your studs are going in all the way and you'll be fine people have a tendency to make things a bigger deal...

Throwing on a Driftmotion CT2657trim - Headgasket First??

A tap will slightly enlarge the hole even using the exact size tap Google thread chaser I got mine from snap on. Some guys will say a tap is fine but do a test yourself before and after a tap you will feel the stud has more play when threaded in.

I've been running es bushings for about 8 years bushing still look new no signs of movement. Car won't start after running perfectly

Fuel pressure doesn't mean that your injectors are firing. Also your ignition is negative trigger so yes you may have power but no trigger. Verify that your coils are not firing just put a timing light to it also verify your grounds just behind your fuse block is your igniter ground check all...

Car won't start after running perfectly

When starting the car your timing shouldn't be nowhere near 27 degrees of timing at 150 rpm you don't need all that timing my car starts at 5 degrees of timing. Check the basics compression, fuel and spark also double check all your grounds.

    How reliable is the 7mgte?

Reality is speed cost money doesn't matter what car you start with if your broke you should avoid modifying cars period!! A stock 7mgte used as a daily driver with a good gasket and torque is a very reliable engine. How many cars do you know of that is 25 plus years old and you start beating on...

    Over heating issue?

First thing you should do when your car starts to overheat is turn your heater on high if your temps come back down that points to your radiator being clogged or debris blocking the front of radiator stopping air flow. You said you where driving up the hill so your fans shouldn't be the problem...

    PACNW SUPRA NATIONALS 7m dyno

Good job on making that kind of power it goes to show that for 99% of the people on this forum a 7m is all the motor they will ever need. Maybe they need to quit blaming the 7m for their lack of engine building skills. The 2j is a monster of a motor but most mk4 owners pay professionals to build...
