Ahhhh so that is actually a control valve that sets the idle up so you don't stall out when parking. It would bother me to lose that function. What I'll do is take that hardline into a hydraulic shop and get them to fab something up for me that connects that hardline to the power steering rack...
After doing some more research I found that the solenoid exists for Progressive Power Steering (PPS). The power steering rack on my car does not have PPS. So I'm thinking it's okay to just remove this solenoid and banjo bolt all together and run the driftmotion SS line straight from the pump to...
I am doing a 2jz-gte vvti swap into a mk3 supra. The vvti power steering pump has a solenoid attached to it (which isn't found on the non vvti's) which consists of two lines running to the engine and an electrical connection.
The attached picture shows an electrical plug for the solenoid and...
Here is a link to the parts page I double checked it with: http://japancars.ru/index.php?route=catalog/toyota&mdf_id=117422&area=JP&cat=291130&blk_id=1701&pn=1728746020
I called my local Toyota dealership and have ordered in a new one (gasket included) from a 1995 twin turbo supra 2jzgte. The part# is 15474-88401 for reference.
Looks like you are correct sir, I attached a picture that shows the difference between the front and rear sump ones. Now Toyota calls the part a turbo oil outlet pipe in the TSRM. Now what would the part # be so I could order one in ...
Situation:
My 2jzgte VVTi is from a front sump aristo and I am converting it to a rear sump pan using the kit from drift-motion.
Problem:
The turbo oil drain lines are different than the non-VVTi ones so the stock lines won't connect to my oil pan.
Solution:
What I'm planning on...
I have a shop in town called speedtech. As far as I know they're the only one's around here that do ecu tuning. I'll keep looking though, what's a rough average rate for a tune?
Yeah I think I should sell my maft-pro and go full standalone as I don't want to damage anything on this build. I like the sound of the ViPEC v88 or AEM v1. For $1900 the Aem is almost as expensive as the ViPEC and I've heard ViPEC is better.
Okay yeah after doing some more research I like the sound of the ViPEC v88. I'm going to go down to my local tuning shop and see what they're comfortable tuning and what they sell.
Is anyone running or heard of another 7MGTE running the HKS F-CON V PRO. I heard in 2004 that RCTS was working with HKS to develop one back then. I'll give them a call but has anyone heard of this?
Interesting, yeah getting the manifold coated would look pretty good. I did some research too and from what I could see the treadstone has a good reputation. It would be easy to relocate the wastegate down if needed.
I'm running a 7MGTE swaped into an mk2. I have a maft-pro with speed density and boost controller but am thinking of selling it to go full standalone. My question is would you run my maft-pro piggy back already purchased or go full standalone with this setup, and what kind of standalone. My ECU...
Yeah true enough, thanks for the godspeed link. The second one there looks a lot like the treadstone one. I think I'll order the treadstone and see how it fits. If it doesn't clear I'll have it modified a bit.
