I get what you are saying.... i made 311rwp 335tq with a decent tune and with the weight of the MKII it should be a 12 sec car but traction will be an issue.

Adjustable fuel pressure regulator and a SAFC would be next...... then tune only the high setting which should be set around 70% throttle. A data logger saves a lot of time and you can get one for $300bucks brand new from driftmotions.
