the exhaust manifolds are CX racing ls1 swap headers for the mk3, i would rate them 6/10 but it definitly gets me over a large hurdle of piecing the exhaust components together. lol about the weather for 300 days a year its high of 65 and low of 58
check out my build under my user name, its still in progress and i have not updated since my wedding in february, however i will be finishing the project in the cominG months
just some minor updates, I ripped out the stock HVAC unit and installed a Summit Heater core only for defroster, also used bulkhead fittings where the AC lines went. Finished off most of the topside plumbing. Will need to start working on bottom side plumbing by running new fuel lines, filters...
I got some fab done on my coolant surge tank, just need to clean it up and pressure test it. probably will have it and the tank powdercoated black or some sort. this tank is proably about 4-5 hours worth of work to complete.
my wedding is coming up in three weeks...
I made the intake myself, I have a Miller Dynasty 200Dx. Ill be fabbing up the coolant tank tomorrow, so more pics up after this weekend. IJ was running a gen4 block, i beleive a L99 but I may be wrong. The project only came about becuase the original 7M was so trashed by the PO that nothing...
O opted away from soldering 100%, after some research I have gone toward 100% crimped connectors, my harness is essentially 100% new with all new wiring, for places where i needed to make y conenctions or multi connections, I am using nice barrel type butt crimps and heat shrink. I must have...
thats what i did for my harness, any gm vehicle from 97 up is a good choice, i used lsxtune.com for all of the pins and wiring to essentially make new connectors. there are some good cam lock delphi connectors that i may use.
next to work on will the coolant surge tank, it will go where the NA power steering reservoir used to sit on the passenger side. I will probably start fabbing that up this week some time. I plan on adding ports so that I can pull the coolant lines in to an ever so slight vacuum and suck up the...
some work from the weekend
aluminum radiator shroud and i managed to squeeze in a 2 speed taurus radiator. I will use some foam gasketing to seal it later. Also I built my 4" intake under the head light. I will eventually build a
an airbox to house the filter element. I am using a LS3...

r154- $250
adapter$ 450
hyrdaulic slave converions $200
the gearing of the r154 is not really suited to the v8, 1st is too low even with 3.73 rear end, ill figure something out thouhg, maybe run taller tires
yesterday I was able to fab an aluminum fan shroud with a two speed Taurus fan. even with a tucked radiator it eats up a lot of real estate. also almost done with the cold air intake. Im trying to create a sealed socket joint since i want to have the filter housing bolted in and i don't have...
nice chasebays radiator,
i went through a lot of work to tuck a 24x19 radiator, ended up with a custome lower core support cross member and removable upper
