Would you say that it is necessary for you to route the waste gates the way that you did? Do you have any better pics of the 6 into 1 collector. Something like progress pics would be cool. My father has been a welder for around 45 years and I never get tired of looking at some sweet sweet beads....
I once had a ct with "natural clipping" or chunks missing from the blade. Still came on just like normal and pulled to 8.5 and settled at 7.5ish. Odd thing it is.
If you feel it when coming to a stop, then how can you feel it in the gas pedal? Have you checked the wheel bearings for excessive play? Take a look at the brakes(calipers and pads) and or the write up on breaks here on the...
I'll try and get some pics of the car soon. This would be a great car for you Ian, its old and slow. Would be hard to die in this one, creepin around town.
Whats the word on this?
Could be a manifold gasket..
If you would test for Boost leaks ALL leaks would show up including vacuum leaks. There will be some leaking past the valves, but you sound like you have a good leak in there, should be able to hear it. Not sure why people think that boost...
I'm so very sorry for the mix up. It is a 1972. Guess that's what I get for taking info from a girl who doesn't know much about the car. I actually went and saw the car now. I believe its been retrofitted with late 70's 280 capacitive ignition. All of the wires from the keyed ignition switch...
What do you know about the car/motor? How many miles on the swap (is it a swap)? What transmission do you have? Like any car, even hondas, letting them breath in and out better is usually a good place to start. Depending on the condition of the motor you could go with a slightly bigger single...
What computer are you running, factory? If so what year is your car? Is it an automatic? When was the last time it ran(What was the last thing you touched before it stopped)?
If the cats are not controlled by the car's computer and there is no downstream o2 sensor, how can it make you hit fuel cut? The turbo will flow better and maybe boost will spike to "cut" pressures, but with a manual boost controller you should be able to defend against that.
turns over but no spark, no juice to coil. Someone tried to rewire the ignition to coil circuit with all black wire at some point. Its also been converted to a newer ignition type. Its a 74 240
So when the turbo makes boost the gauge shows 0psi. When it idles it shows 0psi. When you load the motor, to build boost, it is laggy. Sounds like a case of the boost leaks. Make a boost leak tester and find them. Where is your Greddy gauge getting is signal from? Any codes?
