    cant hold on to boost

You can build a boost. Leak tester for a few bux with things you find at any home depot, menards. Or. Place. Like. That. You. Will need a rubber coupler that. Fits the. Inlet. Of your turbo (measure to figure. That out). You. Will need a pvc pipe end and a fitting to. Connect. To. An air source...

    Auto trans question.

Just need to determine the solonoid resistence and make any alterations to the current setup to run it on other platforms. Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using Tapatalk

    Auto trans question.

Same thing for the dsms.. this however is going to completely bypass the tcu to control the solonoids. Now I need to find someone who would want to test this and we have to determine the input of the coils. The idea here is to have a standalone similar to the suprastick however it will be...

    Auto trans question.

Ok what is the retail on that? We are developing something for dsms currently that will take the place of a shift kit as well as allow push button shifting. About the size of say an afc monitor maybe smaller. Looking to make a very affordable product that has amazing potential. Currently...

    Auto trans question.

I'm lookin for some info on the auto trans in the supra. Does it use 2 solonoids to control the shifts is the first question. And the next question is does anyone make a pnp push button shifter for the mk3's? I know auto's are not desired at all, but who would be interested in an auto that's...

    Auto trans questions.....

Hey all, I am trying to find out if the auto is shifted via solonoids and the tcu. I am testing a shifter for another platform atm and am trying to see if I can broaden the market a little. To basically bypass the tcu for shifting and shift via push button or paddle shifter or really any...

    Mr.Yuk's Swap/Build

May I suggest getting a small piece of flat steel and just have it welded onto the stock upper mounts and drill a hole where the bolt goes thru. Simple to do and keeps you from needing to destroy the stock ones. You really need a rubber or foam padded insulator for the rad tho. Extending the...

oil is shooting up out of the dip stick tube

Ummm JDUB a compression test isnt going to judge blow by that would be a leak down test. A leak down test tells you what kind of pressure loss there is in the combustion chamber and thus tells you if you have an issue with rings, or valves.

oil is shooting up out of the dip stick tube

Oh JDUB, high pressure in the crank case and thus PCV system, and low pressure in the turbo tube; aka the accordion pipe is a significant pressure differential.

oil is shooting up out of the dip stick tube

Jdub, you and I have gone round about this a few times now. And to explain both parts lets do this step by step. The PCV system for the 7m is already pretty retarded. The line coming out of the block, up to the head using about a 1" tube is an oil return and part of the PCV system from what I...

    Help please

IJ, couldnt it just be a simple mess up on the vaccume for the BOV? He said he is venting to atmosphere and said nothing about a piggyback on the ECU. If he is running a AFM and its metering the air and his BOV is leaking at idle, that would cause it to sputter and die would it not? Ticking...

    Stalling after replacing afm

Well im sure I will be told im wrong with this because of who is posting i here, but I had a problem like this after an AFM swap thinking my old AFM was bad. Swapped to a known good one from a friends car and still kept stalling. After checking and rechecking everything in the intercooler...

My flushmounts and how I did it

Where did you get the modular lights like that? I want to do something similar to that with mine, but cant seem to find anything like that. Any places or sites you can send me to find those?

I know you are pretty advanced in things involving odd things with the supra and wiring. Do you...

I know you are pretty advanced in things involving odd things with the supra and wiring. Do you know of any crank triggers that will work with the AEM stand alone for the mk3? I am planning to get rid of the CPS and go with a magnetic pickup on the crank if I can, but I have not really seen...

    car dies on decel?

Unless your running a MAP based system, venting to atmosphere is still going to cause you to run way rich, which is also going to make you foul plugs faster, and fry your cat. And being that you live in arlington heights, I know for a fact you have emissions requirements to meet. And running...

    car dies on decel?

Well actually the PCV system part you are discussing is off the throttle body, across both nipples on the valve covers, then over to the intakes accordian tube before the turbo to have a good draw on it. So I cant say for sure, but you may want to try capping off the nipple on the throttle...

    car dies on decel?

Ummm please tell me your joking here, cause seriously it makes me want to take the hour drive to AH to smack you. You truely sound like a 16 yr old high school student who is acting cool in the parking lot after class. The OEM bov must be routed back into the intake system between the AFM...

    Cams for a 500 hp MK3 Turbo

Actually I think what he is trying to explain is that adjustable cam gears are only going to let you adjust so far. There isnt 360 degrees of movement there. Your only have about a max of 30 degrees to adjust between the two cams. And if the overlap is great enough (not having used the cams...

    MSD box question?

Ok, not to sound like a dick or anything, but the question was has anyone had any experience with the MSD 6BMT. I know what all is out there, I just have never seen anyone use this specific box before. I dont need to know about the other MSD boxes. I am running the MSD 6AL in mine more than...

    Light Knocking-pinging noise at 17PSI

:werd: Agreed, sounds like you are experiencing an octane knock. drop boost or get a higher octane fuel. I would personally dial back the boost. Its not the amount of boost pressure, its the volume of air being put into the engine.
