    1300 Kg Track SUPRA project

Wow, super nice and light, the closest I ever got to this was 1474KG, or 3250LBS. I curious, do you actually know of where you can get an aluminium block 2jz, or did I misunderstand the conversation. Do you have any video footage of your car on the Nurnbergring, I used to live minutes from...

    Another 2j into mk3 question

Go for the BIC or driftmotion ones, your swapping a motor into the car that does not belong or look at all stock there and your never gonna be able to see those brackets due to their location under the intake and exhaust manifolds. Don't sweat the motor mounts, trust me, you have much bigger...

How to: New coil pack connectors

Back in my 7m days ya the CPS was the source of some serious intermittent frustrations before discovering the connector and temperature variables were the cause. Back then I ended up going with a milspec connector from my local electronics supply, I did have to carefully extend the harness but...

How to: New coil pack connectors

This is a good preventative maintenance task that should be checked by anyone running an older harness. It's really a high temp area and these connectors and their pins weaken and get crispy over time. I would even change the pins myself due to the metal relaxing from the heat cycles over time...

2jzge swap into 1990 Supra, High idle

Have you done a boost leak test and opened you TB during it to see if perhaps you are leaking around your injectors or anywhere else on the intake side of things. Check the simple things first and work up from there. Are you trying to run a map setup with a maf ecu somehow? Dr Tweak is a very...

    Jeremy's 89 Supra Turbo Build

    Engine location concerns

I am absolutely sure there is no one with 10+" of space between the rad and motor anywhere in a mkiii swapped car. No way.

    Engine location concerns

It looks correct from what I can see in the pics. The JZ motor swapped into a MKIII will be sit a little longer in the motor bay which is why you have to source a different clutch fan setup if you also are running an aftermarket rad. Space is very tight in the rad/fan area for me as well. You...

    Another 2j into mk3 question

From what I'm aware of it is fairly difficult to find actual 1jz mounts nowadays, BIC used to make some very stout sets for sale. Also found some a driftmotion.... http://www.driftmotion.com/1JZ-2JZ-Brackets-Late-MK3-p/dm26.htm

    So...Anyone ever see this problem??

Hmm, or perhaps you bumped some other iffy wiring. Time to take it step by step, perhaps change the injector plug, then swap the cps wiring or plug, sounds like an intermittent problem, my least favorite type.

Did you ever get this resolved?

    Flateric's, Rocket Red Road Sled!

]Recently while cleaning up my garage I came across some of my old failed or otherwise FUBAR'd parts. Some of which I have been promising to post pics of for a very long time so here they are. Here is a VERY messed up CT26 compressor wheel that had a more than slight collision with it's...

    Flateric's, Rocket Red Road Sled!

Also recently added a set of cusco coilovers front and rear that I am very happy with. Both in ride quality and handling. They were originally intended for an Aristo, the fronts fit without issue, the rears required that I weld different ends onto the lower mounting sleeve. A minor job really...

    So...Anyone ever see this problem??

It doesn't relate to your clutch symptom that I can figure but the odd engine sputtering and miss during different load changes may be explained by crispy CPS wiring. My CPS plug back in my 7MGTE days had gotten very crispy over time and only after warming up it would lose connection on me...

    No gauges

In the second pic, the smaller plug, has everything to do with the dash. Here's a table I dug up for you that shows the plug conversion for a yellow (pre 89) to dark grey (post 89) combination meter wiring conversion. pre89 1991 Pin# Pin# Function 1.... 1 Backup Light...

    Flateric's, Rocket Red Road Sled!

Been awhile since I did an update so I figured I would with my recent changes and upkeep on the car. First the interesting, got myself a flir heat camera for my iphone recently, comes in really handy for all kinds of things...Here are some shots of my car after some spirited driving...

    Flateric's, Rocket Red Road Sled!

Installed some nice LED headlights (Module for highbeam and seperate module for lows) and replaced my fogs with LEDs as well. I put metal foil eyebrow inserts for the regular (low) headlights to prevent them from casting above waist level because they were WAY too bright otherwise for oncoming...

Should i retorque my head or wait?

Personally I would do the preventative work now. Blowing a head gasket potentially does damage more on the motor than the HG alone. There are alot of other bad side effects from letting things get to that point that can be prevented. I believe even with a good metal HG it is good practice to do...

interior color change I'm put please

This is the color I wish it were from the factory. Love to see some pics after the install. As I am sure most here are thinking, I would be concerned about it scratching off easily and looking bad through use. This is what has always held me back from doing this.
